On thermal stability of Thorne-Zhitkov objects.


Numerical calculations of evolution of 5MO star with (initially) cold neutron core were carried out, taking into account thermal heating of the neutron star due to heat flux from the accreting envelope. It appeares that neutron core temperature does not increase up to the value, necessary for neutrino thermal ranaway. In other words, neutron core heating does not give rise to fast collaps of initial configuration.
