             Recommendation  

	My teacher, Yuri Konstantinovich Filippov during 35 years
works as a teacher of astronimical groups for children.
Before 1966 he worked at the Kiev Planetarium, and later
at the Palace of Young Pioneers. Several of his pupils became
professional astronomers, many others work as professional
scientists in different fields.

	Since 1975 Yu. K. Filippov works as the Head of the Astronomical
Observatory of the Palace of Youth and Children (former Palace of
Young Pioneers) at Kiev. 
Yu.K. Filippov formed groups of children studying
the following topics:

	--- Space physics

	--- Space prognosis

	--- Asronavigation

	--- Space simulations
	
	--- Space phylosophy

	--- Radiophysics

	Annualy he organizes olympiads	in astronomy for pupils of Kiev.
	
	He was able to give his love of astronomy to many generations
of pupils in Kiev. Now a lot of them work as professional scientists,
professors.

 	Now Yu.K. Filippov is the Head of Astro-Phys-Mathematical Center
in the Palace of Yuoth and Children in Kiev.

	At the observatory of the Palace there is a big telescope,
but now it needs repair, but there are a lot of financial problems with it.
Children can make some observations at the observatory mostly because
of energy and experience of Yu.K. Fillipov,
who does his best to make it possible.

	It will be very useful, if some financial support can be
provided to Yu.K. Filippov personaly and to the Obserrvatory
(repair of the Observatory and the telescope: about 1000$;
PC: about 1000$; small telescope: about 500$).
